Assessing the Skills Needs of Aboriginal Fish Harvesters in Canada

The purpose of the report is to provide the Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters with a situational analysis of the human resource activities and needs in the most developed Aboriginal commercial fisheries in Canada. The analysis is to be used as a key resource and reference point for future consultation with Aboriginal leaders on human resource issues and priority needs, and a possible role for the CCPFH in supporting HR programming to meet priority needs of Aboriginal fish harvesters.
