The Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters recently participated in the Career Options Magazine, a publication distributed widely across Canada in high schools. This issue of the magazine focuses on natural resources and was a perfect way to highlight the career opportunities in the fishing industry.
Fish harvesters are constantly looking for young and energetic people to join this exciting industry. If you are interested in a career on the water there are several schools and programs found throughout Canada to prepare you. Areas may have different programs to offer so check out what institutions near you are offering.
This list is not a complete resource for all fish harvesting education facilities but is meant as a starting point.
