The Native Brotherhood of BC is a membership organization representing First Nations fishermen, Tendernam and Shoreworkers in the BC Salmon and Herring fisheries in British Columbia. The Native Brotherhood of BC was formed into an organization in 1931 and modeled itself after the Alaska Native Brotherhood which was formed 18 years earlier. The NBBC is considered to be the oldest active organization in Canada and in BC a senior fishing organization.
